Iconic car, Iconic building
ASA’s Nigel Spreadbury and Tony Rogers, were the official automotive photographers at the 2011 Young Creative Chevrolet Awards held in conjunction with 100 Years of Iconic Design at Battersea Power Station.
The remains of the once grand Battersea Power Station, still to this day an iconic building on the London Skyline, held the celebrations and gave a fabulous backdrop to shoot against. Our brief, to shoot a PR and marketing image of a iconic car, by a iconic building.
Chevrolet invited guests from the world of design, art and media to celebrate the European winners of the Young Creative Awards. Award winners in their own fields, Neville Brody, Wayne Hemingway and Lucy Walker added inspiration and glamour to the evening. The event was an automotive feast, a classic, iconic Chevrolet from every decade lined the entrance, once inside, guests could enjoy the new range of cars including a new electric car, the Volt. Plus, gasp and admire the Stingray concept car, the only one in the world and the one that stars as “sideswipe” in the Transformers movie.
