ASA helps put the (Chevy) Spark into Romance

Chevrolet Romance - Studio

With February 29 around the corner and Valentine’s Day approaching, ASA’s Nigel Spreadbury and Tony Rogers were asked to help Chevrolet to put a bright Spark into romance.

February 14 is traditionally the day couples express their love for each other in many ways. But while chocolates, flowers or champagne may say “I love you”, Chevrolet’s research on what puts the spark into a relationship needed illustrating with a series of inspiring images.

According to Chevrolet’s survey for Europe and UK, the most assured way to get a “Yes!” when proposing to your man is on holiday, through his mum or his teammates… requiring Nigel and Tony to capture the romance of Valentine’s Day for the launch of the Chevrolet Spark ‘pink’.

Featuring models Victoria Burton and Luke Stott to reflect the best-known couple in the world – Barbie and Ken – ASA was tasked with creating a very special ‘look of love’ that also saw them turning the studio into a paradise beach.

The Eagle Speedster at ASA infinity Studios

Eagle Speedster

The Eagle Speedster was initially a one off commission designed by internationally acclaimed Jaguar E-Type specialists Eagle, however, the attention and feedback received has led them to produce another in ‘technical homage’ to the 12 original lightweight E-Types built by Jaguar. This creation is the Eagle Lightweight Speedster. Although retaining much of its 1960’s heritage, the Speedster benefits from many of the upgrades Eagle are renowned for including their 4.7L all aluminium engine and 5 speed gearbox thus creating a truly extraordinary car.

ASA Infinity Studios were privileged to be commissioned to capture the elegant profiles of this exclusive and hand-built car for a set of promotional stills. Fully utilising ASA’s motorised turntable and infinity cove, they were able to produce a comprehensive set of images showcasing the seamless, flowing lines and custom detailing of this beautifully designed car. Not only does the infinity cove help create the feeling of endless space and give the ultimate backdrop to producing sharper and more vivid photographs, the integrated motorised turntable allows vehicles such as the Speedster to be quickly and easily moved into position. In conjunction with the latest equipment and lighting, this creates the ideal facility to capture the design and essence of cars and motorcycles, classic or modern which was precisely the aim of this photoshoot.

ASA Infinity Studios sent photographer Tony Rogers to photograph the glamorous event, featuring designs by the students of AIU London and attended by noted fashion designer Zandra Rhodes and key industry figures.

ASA’s brief was to provide not only high quality images of each design on the catwalk, but creative images of backstage and the event as a whole for the universities PR and marketing for 2012.  The event was a total success and best of all, the client loved the pictures.

Viral Fashion Show

The student designers work needed to apply thoughts and considerations based around the theme of Biology. Some of the designs were truly inspirational and very creative. ASA Infinity Studios are very much looking forward to the next event.
