100% Biker cover - Candice

100% Biker magazine is an incredibly popular custom motorcycle magazine and can be found on every local high street. The magazine features the best custom bikes from across the world and some of the related lifestyle events.  Quoted from the 100% Biker website “100% Biker is the UK’s best custom bike magazine – no ifs no buts”

Candice

ASA Infinity Studios have been photographing bikes for the magazine since opening our studio doors and this month have just finished another commission. The shots will grace the cover of the magazine later on in the year with a double page spread and 5/6 page article. Here are some covers and images from previous shoots:

On track at Goodwood Motor Circuit

Mustang and BMW M6 at Goodwood

ASA Infinity Studios have enjoyed a long relationship with the team at Track Images and count owners James and Emily as great friends. ASA this month have been working with Track Images at Goodwood Motor Circuit covering the Mithrill track days, and Goodwood corporate days.

The photographers role on these days can vary, but usually the brief requires shots capturing the action on track and in the pitlane. Using long telephoto lenses and polarising filters ASA are able to clearly see the drivers and instructors, for guests who have never driven such exotic machinery, a framed picture of themselves driving these cars will often take pride of place on their desk or bookshelf.

A rather fine replica AC Cobra

replica-1

ASA Infinity Studios were recently commissioned by Andrew Batt of Silver Transport to photograph his replica AC Cobra in their white infinity cove.  Andrew is soon to be advertising the car for sale, and needed some high quality, professional photographs.

ASA’s brief was to produce a creative selection of photographs that captured the beauty and details of the car, as well as shots giving the prospective buyers an ability to judge the car’s condition.

If you have a car that you would like us to photograph, please get in touch.

Extra angles – Shooting a fashion show using a remote camera

a

Shot using a remote camera

ASA Infinity Studios were out on location once again this month, this time photographing the Spring American Intercontinental University fashion show event held in Marylebone High Street, London. ASA’s in-house photographers are always trying to push the boundaries and when the brief allows, unusual camera angles can create the “fly on the wall” viewpoint, capturing the dynamic press image.

Shot from the press area

The brief for this show required a shot of every outfit on the catwalk, as well shots of the set build during the day, backstage and the evening event.  The client only required one photographer, but ASA wanted to cover the live catwalk event from two positions.  So much like sports photographers, ASA setup a remote camera. A Nikon D3X with a Hama wireless remote control receiver, was mounted to a small Manfrotto tripod and placed alongside the runway. While shooting from the press area at the end of the runway, ASA’s photographer could trigger the remote camera when the models were in the right position. This gave the client an extra set of shots, with some super creative angles.

ASA then passed the shots over to Panoscope to add the vehicle colour range and create the 360 with the bespoke interface for Great Wall.
